Q: Hi here is a question I have
about Bible study. It is about the flight part. Do you think that the Bible then is
telling us that we will all have to flee to the mountains of Judea? I know you are busy so
when you have time you can answer. Thank -you.
Hi , I think that this warning is specifically to those in the region, not
only because it mentions those in Judea, but again, they seem to be mentioned in
Revelation, at least, that is what I think this passage is referring to:
4: And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven,
and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to
be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and
her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that
they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
It seems to me that the dragon is satan (it says so later on), and the angels tossed out
with him, are those angels (demons) that rebelled with him. Since the man child seems to
be Jesus, (rule all nations and caught up to God), I suspect that the woman here, is the
Jewish race, that Jesus sprang from. The "flee to a place prepared by God", this also is
mentioned elsewhere in scripture, as I recall. There is also the referance to 1260 days.
In prophetic chronology, a month is 30 days. If we divide 1260 days by 30, we come to 42
months. 42 months, is 3 1/2 years, as you recall, I mentioned that everything broke lose in
the middle of Daniels 70th week, which of course, corresponds to the second 3 1/2 years,
the length of the tribulation part of the 70th week.
All of this is just added info, and very interesting of course. In my opinion, and that is
all it is, I suspect that the repercussions of the great tribulation, are worldwide, but I
suspect also, that in the rest of the world, it may not be as bad, nor come one as
quickly, but, it will not be a cake walk anywhere. Seems to me, that the Mormons have the
right idea here, they store food and water for hard times. If we do this, then we have
emergency rations here, for natural disasters or shortages, tribulation or not. If we end
up having to endure the tribulation, we will not be able to buy and sell, so perparation
may well pay off in the future. Even if we are caught up to be with the Lord, there will be
those left behind that do convert, and maybe that food can help somone else.
To be honest, I have not done this myself, but I believe that as far as the tribulation is
concerned, aware Christians will not be caught off guard. Having survival plans, just
seems prudent to me, Joseph had Pharoah store food for 7 lean years, coincidence? I don't
know. Noah, prepared an arc, you get the idea. I think that it is possible that God can
provide (remember the manna?), but I don't think it is a lack of faith to have a plan.
I don't know if any of that answers your question, if not, try again, lol.
